Ohio gets picky over paper stock
The rundown: Ohio is one of the big swing states, it could go either way in the elections. Almost all the swing states are seeing record numbers of newly regisetered voters. The vast majority of these new voters are registering as democrat. This big surge has also strained the supplies of elections officials, they are running out of paper to print the voter registration cards on. Since they can't get their usual paper they'd like to using a ligher stock paper.
The punchline: Ohio Secretary of State says no. Print it on this one kind of paper or else. This potentially means many, many missed votes for people who did everything they were told to do to excercise their right to vote.
It's just fucking paper people!
